Jason N. Vincent, PFP, TEP
President & Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Vincent focuses on corporate strategy and the daily operations of Matco Financial Inc. He also helps clients solve domestic and global wealth management concerns including investment management, estate planning and trusts. Prior to co-founding Matco Financial in 2006, Mr. Vincent was executive vice president of Fiduciary Trust Company of Canada, where he assisted clients with strategic wealth management concerns and helped establish a new business strategy and model for the firm, which sparked significant growth. Mr. Vincent graduated from the University of Calgary having earned a Bachelor of Commerce.
Bill K. Dickie, CFA
Chief Investment Officer, Portfolio Manager
Mr. Dickie is responsible for the investment operations and strategic development of Matco Financial Inc. He is a member of the Canadian Equity working group that manages Matco Canadian Equity Funds. As the COI of Matco Financial Inc., he has oversight to the Matco investment platform that includes the Matco Balanced Fund, the Matco Bond Portfolio and the use of external multi-managers.
Mr. Dickie has been helping private clients achieve their goals since 1979, starting his career with McLeod Young Weir Ltd. Prior to co-founding Matco Financial Inc. in 2006, Mr. Dickie was President and Director of Fiduciary Trust Company of Canada, formerly part of Bissett Investment Management; here he established a new business strategy and model. Mr. Dickie graduated from the University of Alberta having earned a Bachelor of Commerce. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Jill T. Angevine, CA, CFA
Vice President, Portfolio Manager
Drawing on over 20 years of investment and research experience, Ms. Angevine’s responsibilities include managing portfolios and providing investment counsel to individual private clients. She’s a member of Matco Financial Inc.’s Investment Committee and chairs the Canadian Equity Working Group. Ms. Angevine also focuses her expertise on increasing Matco Financial’s presence in the not-for-profit, foundation, trust and institutional fields.
Prior to joining Matco Financial, Ms. Angevine was Vice President and Director, Institutional Research at FirstEnergy Capital Corp. She graduated from the University of Calgary in 1989, having earned a Bachelor of Commerce. She has earned the Chartered Accountant (CA) and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations.
Jeff R. Parent, B. Eng, CIM, FCSI
Vice President, Portfolio Manager
Mr. Parent has been in the investment industry since 1992. He began his career as an investment advisor and progressed to his current role as portfolio manager where he manages clients’ portfolios and offers financial and estate planning advice. He appears regularly on national TV, is a recognized author, public speaker and investment educator. Jeff has a degree in Engineering and is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute. He is past president of the Canadian Society of Technical Analysts and an associate member of the Market Technicians Association.
Samia Preston, CFP, CIM, FCSI
At Matco, Ms. Preston’s focus is directed to managing and servicing portfolios for private clients, trusts and institutional accounts. Ms. Preston began her career in Toronto in 1980 as an Investment Advisor with RBC Dominion Securities and progressed to Portfolio Management in 2005, assisting clients achieve their financial goals. Most recently, Ms. Preston was Vice-President and Director of a small boutique investment firm. Ms. Preston is both a Certified Financial Planner as well as a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.
Baron Lee, CFA
Mr. Lee has over seven years of buy side experience with two respectable firms. He began his career at Franklin Templeton Investments and later joined Matco Financial where he is currently an Analyst. His responsibilities range from trading both equity and fixed income securities to fundamental research on North American equities. He graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Management degree and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Trevor Galon, CFA
Mr. Galon has over 6 years of industry experience on the buy side dealing with both institutional clients as well as private high net worth clients. He began his career at Greystone Managed Investments where he was part of the fixed income team for 5 years. His responsibilities ranged from trading and portfolio management to client service and research. He joined Matco in 2015 and is part of the Investment Committee as well as the Canadian Equity working group. His primary roles range from macro-economic analysis, bottom up stock research as well as involvement in the management of fixed income assets. Mr. Galon graduated from the University of Regina and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Everett Knight, B. Comm
Mr. Knight’s primary role is monitoring and analyzing the equity markets along with the Matco Canadian Equity Income, Small Cap, and Energy Funds. He is a member to the Investment Committee and Canadian Equity Working Group. His previous work experience included Petrominerales as a New Ventures Analyst and at Petrobank Energy and Resources in the Accounting department. Mr. Knight graduated from the University of Calgary, Haskayne School of Business with a Bachelor in Commerce majoring in Finance. He is currently enrolled and pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Manager, Client Service
Ms. Bryant leads the client service team for Matco Financial Inc. Her duties include family office reporting and direct client service. With over 14 years in the financial industry, Ms. Bryant provides exceptional client experience. Ms. Bryant has completed her Canadian Operations Course, Canadian Securities Course and her Conduct and Practice Course. Prior to joining Matco, Ms. Bryant was a Client Service Associate with McLean & Partners Wealth Management Ltd.
Ella Clarens, BA
Marketing & Communications Administrator
Ms. Clarens provides ongoing sales and marketing support for Matco Financial Inc. Her communication and administrative skills help ensure the smooth flow of information.
Prior to joining Matco Financial in 2012, Ms. Clarens was a registration clerk with the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada and a marketing assistant at McCarthy Tétrault, LLP. Ms. Clarens graduated from the University of Calgary having earned a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology).
Ms. Matthews leads the operations team for Matco Financial Inc. Her responsibilities include monthly, quarterly reporting, yearly filings, Human Resources, as well as providing support to business lines such as Compliance and Finance. Prior to joining Matco, Ms. Matthews was the Operations Manager with CST Trust Company (formerly known as CIBC Mellon Trust Company), and has been employed in the Trust industry for over 25 years.
Senior Operations Associate
Ms. Powell provides ongoing client service support for Matco Financial Inc. Her duties include direct client service as well as client operational support. Ms. Powell has completed the Canadian Securities Course, the Canadian Investment Funds Operations Course, the Branch Managers’ Examination Course, the Institute of Canadian Bankers Compliance Officer Course and has achieved Level 1, Fellow, Life Management Institute. Ms. Powell has worked in the financial services industry for over 25 years.
Ian S. Hill, CA
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Hill is responsible for implementing compliance controls and procedures as well as Matco Financial Inc.’s public reporting obligations. Prior to joining Matco Financial in 2007, Mr. Hill was controller, operational accounting at Plains Midstream Canada and chief financial officer of a TSX Venture Exchange listed company. Mr. Hill graduated from the University of Alberta having earned a Bachelor of Commerce.
Cindy Kathol, B.Comm
Mrs. Kathol is responsible for day-to-day accounting as well as the preparation of financial statements and tax returns. Prior to joining Matco Financial Inc. in 2008, she was involved in energy accounting having worked for two major Calgary-based oil companies. Mrs. Kathol graduated from the University of Saskatchewan having earned a Bachelor of Commerce.
