Trevor Galon

Trevor Galon joined Matco Financial in 2015 and has been a key member of the investment team ever since. With over 15 years of experience in the financial industry, he has worked extensively with institutional investors, not-for-profit organizations, family offices, and high-net-worth private clients. This diverse background equips him with a comprehensive understanding of investment management. As Chief Investment Officer, Trevor oversees Matco’s Investment Platform, guiding strategic decision-making across the firm. He chairs the Asset Mix Committee and actively contributes to the Fixed Income, Canadian Equity, and Global Equity strategy teams. Additionally, he serves as the Portfolio Manager for the Matco Balanced Fund and Matco Diversified Income Fund.

Trevor began his career at Greystone Managed Investments, where he spent over five years in roles spanning trading, portfolio management, research, and client service. This foundational experience laid the groundwork for his expertise in managing complex investment strategies.

Outside of the office, Trevor enjoys golfing, curling, traveling, and spending time with his wife and their two dogs. He also serves on the board of Youth Central, a local non-profit dedicated to empowering youth through volunteer opportunities.
